I climb when I can—mostly lead climbing indoors, nothing heroic—and I run sometimes, mostly when it is sunny enough that I cannot pretend the weather is the problem.

I also spend time with The Climate Route, an Italian association that mixes expeditions, documentary work, and climate outreach. I am currently president of the organisation; it is the place where research-adjacent interests turn into something more hands-on and public.

I am from Genova. I am (slowly) trying to learn Genovese—with uneven results, so no oral exams, please. On a more reliable note, I can make pesto at home when basil and patience line up. It makes people happy.
